Last week, New York-based gourmet burger chain 5 Napkin Burger opened its latest restaurant, a 5500 square foot location at the Ridge Hill Mall lifestyle project in Yonkers in New York’s Westchester County. It is the chain’s fourth unit in NYC along with one each in Boston and Miami Beach. Another NYC location is also scheduled to open at 1325 2nd Ave. in the Upper East Side shortly. It will be in the 4000 square foot range. Introduced in 2008 in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen by partners Andy D’Amico, Simon Oren and Robert Guarino, the 5 Napkin upscale casual restaurants feature a menu of premium hamburgers backed up by a full lunch, dinner and brunch offerings unique to each location, a rotating selection of draft beers, spirits and a choice of wines. The company is exploring opportunities for nationwide expansion.
