The fourth Burger & Beer Joint in Florida opened in late April at the Mall at University Town Center in Sarasota. Located at the mall’s east entrance, the full service restaurant includes a patio area with a fire pit and an indoor/outdoor bar. Franchisee John Cerutti also operates two other Burger & Beer Joints in Mary Brickell Village in Miami and in South Beach in Miami Beach.  A sports and music themed concept, the menu features oversized gourmet burgers using premium ingredients, a large choice of appetizers including wings, sliders, chili, salads, etc., a full bar and a wide beer selection. About 18-months ago, the company announced plans to open about 50 franchised and corporate locations over the coming years. Currently Burgers & Beer Joint has about 29 units under development thru franchising in Florida, California, New York, Washington, DC, Georgia and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The chain targets markets with a residential population of at least 50,000 people within a three mile radius and a median household income of $50,000 and more per year. In addition to the four locations in Florida, the company operates a unit in the Mall of San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico and other Florida openings are scheduled for the City Place Mall in Doral,  Dolphin Mall in Miami and Downtown City Place in West Palm Beach.
