Everything is looking good. The economy is on an upward swing and in most areas, money seems almost easy to come by. Everybody is positive and looking towards new and bigger deals. Financing seems is available for new projects and we are starting to see a lot of new projects revived, ones that have been on the back-burner for a few years. There seems to be national and international companies that are doing more than just ‘kicking dirt’. Everything is starting to look pretty good so don’t screw it up! Return your phone calls! Respond to your emails! Oh yeah, and if your office has one of those automated phone systems in which the caller doesn’t speak to a real person................or doesn’t get the opportunity to talk to one, take a stick and break it. It’s losing business for you!………And am I missing something here or what? If a chain appears on a broker’s website under the ‘client’ category, does that not mean that chain is considering expansion possibilities? And does it not also suggest that the broker is taking enquiries from landlords on behalf of that restaurant company? Is it too much of a stretch to assume that the broker might even be mandated to represent that restaurant company in matters relating to real estate? Yeah, I thought so too, but if that’s the case, why then are so many chains telling us that they aren’t expanding even though they are predominately displayed on various websites. Maybe all those brokers are only working on renewals, yeah, that’s it, renewals. Yeah right, and there is a Santa Claus.........................WP
