Atlanta, Georgia-based GPS Hospitality has acquired 60 Burger King franchises in Michigan which brings it to 196 franchise locations across the United States. Purchased from TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, the restaurants are located across the Lower Peninsula and include areas such as Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw, Flint, Ann Arbor, and Pontiac. “These new restaurants mark continued growth for GPS Hospitality in the Midwest, and we look forward to bringing our brand of service and guest experience to the people of Michigan,” said CEO Tom Garrett. This is the third and largest acquisition in partnership with Nonami Investments and The Cynosure Group. During 2014, GPS Hospitality and partners completed three Burger King purchases representing 79 restaurants. Founded in 2012, GPS Hospitality is a Burger King franchisee, operating restaurants in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
