In mid-September, Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc. reported that Wesley Campbell of Elizabethtown, North Carolina-based Campbell Oil Company has become the brand’s latest franchisee. Campbell plans to open his first Arby’s restaurant this year in Elizabethtown with future plans to grow the brand in eastern North Carolina and South Carolina. Campbell Oil Company is a 67-year old third generation family business that supplies a full line of petroleum products to residential and commercial consumers in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. In addition, the company also operates over 20 Minuteman Food Mart convenience stores in which several include quick service food from Little Caesars, Village Subs, Subway, Dairy Queen, Bellarico’s and now Arby’s. An owner of Campbell Oil Company, Wesley Campbell is the Vice President of Retail Operations. “We’re confident that his experience managing his family business for over a decade will lend itself well to being a highly successful Arby’s operator,” said Greg Vojnovic, Chief Development Officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. “He’s also joining the brand during an incredible period of growth and momentum.” Arby’s has accelerated new restaurant development and system remodels with the ‘Inspire’ restaurant design. To-date in 2015, Arby’s has opened 30 new restaurants and completed 80 remodels system-wide. On average, Arby’s remodeled restaurants are experiencing sustained sales increases of approximately 15 percent with some experiencing increases of 20 percent or more.
