Restaurant & QSR Expansion Report

In Time for the Holidays

Franchise owners Tom Markert and Peter Guala through their company Casual Dining Ventures, Inc. have opened the latest Hurricane Grill & Wings restaurant in Boynton Beach, Florida in time for the holidays. Known for its uniquely savory, fresh jumbo chicken wings, offered with a choice of more than 30 signature sauces and flavors, the island-inspired restaurant will include an indoor dining room with seating for 180, a surf shack for private parties up to 40 as well as an enjoyable outdoor patio that seat up to 70.

The growing franchise operates about 55 locations in twelve states, including Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina and Texas and the chain is continuing to grow nationwide.  Currently the company is under development on locations in Florida on SW 88th St. in Miami and SW Pine Island Rd. in Cape Coral as well as its ninth restaurant in New York state on East Montawk Hwy in Lindenhurst.  Typical units are in the 4000 to 5000 square foot range for the 150 seat restaurant plus full bar and patio area. In certain instances, the restaurants can be as small as 3500 square feet and as large as 6000 square feet.  Freestanding and end cap locations are targeted.
