Orlando-based Flippers Pizzeria started 2014 off with the opening of two new restaurants in Florida. The 27-year old chain of casual family restaurants that features the brick oven baked pizzas opened a corporate location at the Dolphin Plaza at 11062 International Dr. in Orlando and franchisees Gerard and Bonnie Pickhardt, owners of restaurant holding company Watch These Franchises Grow!, opened a 3000 square foot end cap unit at the Palms of Carrollwood on North Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa. In early 2013, the Pickhardts opened the Flippers Pizzeria franchise on 4th St. North in St. Petersburg. Along with its family-friendly atmosphere, the Flippers locations also offer pick-up and delivery service and a catering service in Orlando. Flippers Bakery products are also available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, schools and amusement venues throughout the entire state of Florida. The latest openings bring the chain to 16 units in Central Florida as the brand continues to expand.
