Earlier in May, Miami-based Bar Invest Group acquired the Winn-Dixie-anchored Palm Johnson Plaza in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Satiated on the south east corner of Palm Ave. and Johnson St. in Broward County, the open 90,000 square foot neighborhood center is in a densely populated middle income area with over 154,000 people within a three mile radius. The center also includes a Planet Fitness. The median age in the immediate area is about 37 years and the average household income is more than $67,000 per year. Property Manager Jean-Baptiste Ramet notes that the company is implementing a complete renovation that will include upgraded signage. Restaurants Wong’s Chinese, Marcos Pizza and J.Gumbos are currently operating in the center and available unit include in-line locations ranging from 1403 to 2509 square feet and an end unit fronting onto Johnson St. at 4100 square feet. Rafael Romero and Mitch Boxer at CREC are handling the leasing.
