In 2015, upscale steak house chain, Ruth’s Chris Steak House celebrates its 50th anniversary and early in the new year the parent company, Ruth’s Hospitality Group Inc. reported a 7.4 percent increase in total revenues for its year ending in late December 2014 to $346.1-million compared to $322.4-million the previous year. At the end of its fiscal year, the company reported that leases were in place for two restaurant openings, in St. Petersburg in Florida and in Dallas, Texas.  In addition, franchisees were projected to open four restaurants during 2015. Then, in early February, the company opened its 144th Ruth’s Chris Steak House in St. Petersburg.  At almost 10,000 square foot, the restaurant opened on the upper level of the retail and entertainment Sundial complex on Second Ave. North in the city’s downtown area. In addition, earlier in April multi-unit franchisee Georgia Sizzling Inc. announced that a Ruth’s Chris will open in the French Quarter Inn on Church St. in downtown Charleston, South Carolina on May 24th. The location is in the 10,000 square foot range with seating for almost 300. Also a Ruth’s Chris is scheduled to open at 314 S. Fourth Ave. in Ann Arbor, Michigan in late Spring.
