Last week, Dallas, Texas-based barbecue chain, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its first location in New Jersey. Local owners, Patrick Fiddler and Joseline Garcia opened the fast casual restaurant in a 1440 square foot end cap location in the Colchester Plaza on Tices Lane in East Brunswick, a New York City suburb. Operating since the early 1940s, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants has nearly 500 locations in 42 states, all featuring the authentic slow smoked barbecue menu with quality, signature meats, home style sides and tangy barbecue sauces. The chain continues to grow across the country and has identified a particular interest in the Northeastern region. Its traditional locations are free standing, end caps and in-line units with seating and drive-thrus where ever possible. The size range is in a 1500 to 2500 square foot range and conversions are preferred.
