Quick casual ‘better burger’ concept MOOYAHBurgers Fries & Shakes has made its entry into the Florida market with an opening at 13725 SW 152nd St. in mid-November. Local franchisee Enzo Di Giovanni is already sourcing his second location in the Doral area. While he is currently focused on Miami’s first two locations, he has ambitious plans for the brand’s expansion in southern Florida. He wants to follow up the Miami launch by opening more than ten MOOYAH restaurants in the Miami-Dade area. Di Giovanni is also a Denny’s franchisee. “The state of Florida is our next huge focus for developing the brand,” added MOOYAH’s COO Michael Mabry. “We have locations set to open in Miami and Jacksonville and we are looking to add an additional 15 locations across Florida in the next few years.” The chain is on pace to open 30 new locations in 2015 and reach the 100 unit milestone before the close of the year. The brand is also set to enter several new states in 2015, with the first MOOYAH restaurants in New York and Massachusetts. Additionally, the brand will increase their established presence in states including California, Texas, Illinois, and Louisiana. In addition, the company will open its first restaurant in Qatar in 2015, marking the seventh country it has entered outside the U.S. Introduced in 2007, the Plano, Texas-based chain features made-to-order burgers made with fresh, lean American beef, French fries hand cut from Idaho potatoes, and real ice cream shakes. In addition, there all-natural Jennie-O turkey burgers, black bean veggie burgers, buns baked in house daily, real cheeses and toppings made from garden-fresh veggies.
