Franchisees Take 32 East Coast Friday’s……..

fridaysThe Carrollton, Texas-based TGI Fridays has completed two transactions that will turn 32 company-owned Florida restaurants over to franchisees. The 16 TGI Fridays restaurants in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area have been purchased by existing Fridays franchise partner Jackmont Hospitality Inc. and the 16 restaurants in Orlando have been purchased by JIB Management Inc., a new franchise partner. Together, these two transactions keep Fridays on track to refranchise nearly all of its corporate-owned restaurants this year. Based in Atlanta, Jackmont Hospitality doubles their TGI Fridays portfolio with the purchase of the 16 Florida locations and two additional locations in Charlotte, North Carolina.  “We’ve had great success operating Fridays restaurants for two decades, and our confidence in the future of the brand made this a great step forward,” said Jackmont Hospitality CEO Daniel Halpern.  The Fremont, California-based JIB Management is an experienced franchisee, who brings decades of experience owning and operating over 300 Jack in the Box, Denny’s, Corner Bakery, El Pollo Loco and Sizzler’s restaurants in Texas, Northern California and the Southeast U.S.  JIB Management President, CEO Anil Yadav said, “We see significant potential in the brand, and we look forward to helping further build Fridays in the markets where we will operate.”  Both companies’ agreements include plans to reimage a significant number of their acquired restaurants and to open new Friday’s restaurants in their markets.
