Chicago-area gastropub concept Tap House Grill is launching a franchising program targeting the Midwest first, with national expansion to follow. Launched in 2006, Tap House Grill Addictive Food/Creative Brews presently has about nine locations across the Chicago suburbs and several franchise agreements in the works. The THG Franchise Group was formed earlier in the year to provide thorough training, support and marketing guidance for franchise owners and operators. "We have been developing this idea for a decade and now we're ready to aggressively expand through franchising," said Founder Scott Ward. "We've combined a scratch kitchen with a great beer menu and an exhilarating atmosphere and events schedule."  An eclectic gastropub, Tap House Grill brings a unique twist to American comfort food along with an exclusive, rotating selection of dozens of craft beers on tap. A franchise owner-operator is slated to take on a location in the southwest suburbs of Illinois shortly and another agreement being finalized in Springfield, Illinois. The THG Franchise Group is on its way to having several more franchise owners within its system by the end of the year.
