Fresh Kitchen is a quick casual concept that opened in early Fall 2014 on South Howard Ave. in Tampa, Florida that is owned and operated by the Ciccio Restaurant Group. Designed in a traditional assembly line format, the concept gives its guest the opportunity to customize the meals. Featuring a lunch, dinner and catering menu, the customer can personalize the ‘bowl’ choosing from one or two bases made of brown rice, kale slaw, sweet potato noodles or quinoa, topped with two types of vegetables including broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. Then two proteins, such as tofu, steak, chicken or tuna, can be added and a sauce tops it off. Cold pressed juices and side salads are also on the menu. According to reports in the South Florida Business Journal, the company plans to rollout the concept, initially targeting the South Florida area. The company anticipates adding a second unit, a 3000 square foot location at the Buckingham Plaza development being built at State Rd. 7/441 and Pioneer Rd in Royal Palm Beach. A Fall 2005 completion is expected for the 90,000 square foot center. Two other Fresh Kitchens are planned, and they're expected to open in St. Petersburg and Sarasota in the Fall.
