Later in September, the Rockville, Maryland-based upscale American diner Silver Diner will open its latest location at the Flats residential building on Woodmont Ave. near Bethesda Row in Bethesda, Maryland, according to recent reports in the Bethesda Magazine. It is the 26 year old chain’s sixth unit in Maryland. The new feature its lunch and dinner menus along with its spiked milkshakes, traditional mixed drinks and local beers. In addition to the locations in Maryland, the chain also includes eight Silver Diner restaurants in Virginia and one in Cherry Hill in New Jersey. Earlier in the Summer, the chain closed is location in Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Maryland after 15 years of operation.
