The Big Salad has awarded its latest franchise, at its Novi, Michigan location to Christopher Pike of Rochester Hills in Michigan. He is the restaurant group’s fifth franchise owner. Formerly a corporate-owned unit, the restaurant is located at the Novi Town Center on Grand River Ave.  The Big Salad continues to look for new franchise partners. “Our fresh, innovative menu, restaurant design, and focused operating model allows The Big Salad to present a distinctive opportunity for new franchisees,” said Founder and CEO John Bornoty. He added, that The Big Salad “is well-positioned with consumer trends in the rapidly growing healthy lifestyle restaurant sector.”  Customers are able to create their own salad choosing from iceberg, romaine or spinach salad combinations and a choice of 40 toppings and 30 dressings. Additionally, The Big Salad offers a large selection of fresh sandwich and soup options, as well as putting any salad into a wrap. Currently there are seven Big Salad restaurants in Michigan and the chain is sourcing locations in Rochester, Bloomfield Hills, Canton and Grand Rapids in Michigan. The chain has plans to open 100 units in strategically located metro areas across the country over the next ten years.
