Muse Paintbar is a unique restaurant concept that combines painting instruction from local artists with a light menu that ranges from spinach and feta bites to pulled pork sandwiches and desserts along with a full selection of wine and beer. The concept gives the customer an opportunity to create their own painting with instructions and guidance from a professional local artist. Paint, canvas and apron are provided. The restaurants offer a variety of painting sessions each week including private parties, birthdays, kids' parties, charity fundraisers, girls' nights out or afternoon/evening team building sessions with co-workers. Muse will also host Family Day sessions two or three times per month where family-friendly painting sessions will be offered, often at discounted prices. In early May, a Muse Paintbar opened in a former Cheeburger Cheeburger location on Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains, New York followed by a unit of over 3000 square feet at the Hingham Shipyard, just 15 miles south of Boston, later in the month. It is quickly followed by a unit at 34 Middle Neck Rd. in Great Neck Plaza in Great Neck, New York. This will bring the chain to nine units with others in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine and Rhode Island. Co-founders Vanessa Leigh and Stan Finch introduced the concept late 2012 at the Blue Back Square on Raymond Rd. in West Hartford, Connecticut.
