Late in March, Morristown, New Jersey-based Villa Enterprises opened two Villa Italian Kitchen quick service restaurants at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The new Villa restaurants are located at the West Food Court on the Upper Level and at the Central Food Court on the Lower Level. Both locations feature a variety of freshly made menu items daily. The Villa Italian Kitchen menu features Neapolitan and pan pizzas handmade with fresh dough, 100 percent whole milk mozzarella and homemade sauce as well as its handmade Stromboli, Italian pastas and entrees. “A slice of pizza or a homemade Stromboli can make a long layover and time pass quickly when waiting for a flight,” said Adam Torine, Villa Enterprises’ Executive Vice President of Development. Starting with its first pizzeria in New York City 50 years ago, the Villa Italian brand now has more than 270 locations worldwide. Over the past several years, Villa Enterprises has focused on multi-unit opportunities, expansion of management services, the creation of new restaurant concepts in response to market demand and international growth with a focus on the Middle East and Latin America. Today, the Villa Enterprises portfolio has grown to include more than 400 quick serve restaurants in malls, airports, casinos and other high-traffic locations. The company is managing and outfitting entire food courts within malls, outlet centers, casinos and airports throughout the United States including the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem in Pennsylvania, Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe in Arizona and Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets in Virginia. Just minutes from Manhattan, LaGuardia Airport is a major domestic airport that serves a metropolitan area of approximately 19-million people. LGA is undergoing an extensive capital redevelopment program in an effort to provide world-class airport facilities for passengers and airlines alike. “Villa’s addition to our new food concessions is one of the delicious highlights of the re-development project,” said LaGuardia Airport General Manager, Lysa Scully. “What’s better than New York style pizza when you land or before you take-off from New York?” she asked. Then, in early April, Villa Enterprises announced the opening of another Villa Italian Kitchen restaurant in the new Center Core Food Court at the Pittsburg International Airport.
