In early July, Tampa, Florida-based private equity firm Third Lake Capital acquired the Ker’s WingHouse chain of sports-themed bars/restaurants in Florida, according to reports in the Tampa Bay Times. Ker’s WingHouse is a chain of 24 franchised restaurants that was introduced in 1994 by former NFL player and all-American offensive lineman Crawford Ker. The management, including Ker as CEO, will remain in place as plans are underway for aggressive expansion of the chain.
