In mid-January, licensees Tom Little, Archie Crenshaw, Richard Gower and Lauren Gower opened a Zaxby’s restaurant at 3019 Raleigh Rd. in Wilson, North Carolina. The 4100 square foot quick casual restaurant with seating for about 90 guests features Zaxby’s unique interior design with bright, open interior decor complemented by vintage prints and school memorabilia. The unit also offers drive-thru services. It is the first Zaxby’s in Wilson County, and is the twelfth in North Carolina owned and operated within the combined team of Little, Crenshaw, Gower and Gower. Expansion plans for the group include at least five new locations in the area. Zaxby’s currently operates more than 660 locations in 16 states.“My partners and I have opened more than ten locations in the state, which has provided us with in-depth knowledge needed to bring a successful restaurant to this community,” said co-licensee Richard Gower. “We know what makes Zaxby’s special – the level of service and the superior product – and we are excited to bring that to the Wilson community.” A pioneer of the quick-casual format, Zaxby’s provides services and amenities that fall somewhere between fast food and a sit-down restaurant. At the new location, customers will place their orders at the counter and are called to pick up their prepared-at-order meals when ready.
