Soupman, Inc., the parent company of The Original SoupMan, has opened its newest Original SoupMan's Famous New York Delicatessen & Restaurant at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. The 1000 square foot unit is in the casino’s new ‘Quick Bites’ food court. Bill White and Robert Azinian are the operating franchise owners of the unit. The new restaurant and delicatessen model was inspired by the success of The Original SoupMan franchise that has been operating in the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut since 2010. That location began offering an expansive menu of authentic NY delicatessen fresh cooked and carved meats, along with the Original SoupMan soups and other all-day menu items including Al's 42 Street Ruben, fresh sliced pastrami, corned beef, oven-roasted turkey and roast beef all slow-cooked on premises. The menu also has a traditional full breakfast including bagels & lox, a NY tradition. The next Soupman Delicatessen & Restaurant is slated to open later this year at the Mohegan Sun in Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania. Over the next five years, the company plans to open 25 franchised units in casinos across the United States. “I know our brand, product and this new operating model will attract more successful, multi-unit, multi-brand operators. That's the plan," said Original SoupMan CEO Lloyd Sugarman.
