In early April, Houston, Texas-based Mexican Restaurants Inc. announced that Curt Glowacki is no longer President and CEO and that Loic Porry is no longer COO of Mexican Restaurants Inc. adding that Marcus Jundt has been appointed CEO, Perry Brush becomes President and Chief Development Office and Lawrence Neumann has been named Chief Financial Officer. MRI owns and operates 46 and franchises eleven full-service and Mexican-themed restaurants trading under the Casa Ole’, Crazy Jose's, Monterey's Little Mexico and Tortuga Mexican Kitchen banners along with a fast casual restaurant concept under the Mission Burrito name. Jundt is currently the CEO of Williston Holding Co. Inc., a Minnesota-based firm that currently owns four restaurants in Williston, North Dakota operating as Williston Brewing Company, Doc Holliday's, J Dub's Bar & Grill and Gramma Sharon's. Brush is currently the President and Chief Development Officer and Neumann is the Chief Financial Officer of Williston Holding Co. In mid-March, Williston Holding Co. and Mexican Restaurants Inc. announced that WHC had acquired approximately 80 percent of MRI in a series of private transactions and had entered into a Merger Agreement that would see the remaining MRI stockholders receive $4.06 per MRI share. The transaction is expected to close within 45 days. As part of this transaction, Jundt was appointed to the MRI Board and the remaining directors, Michael Domec, Larry Forehand and Glowacki resigned.
