Holm Bake Signs for 17 in FL

Dallas-based quick casual bakery café concept Corner Bakery Cafe has signed a new multi-unit development agreement with Holm Bake LLC to open 17 restaurants in the Florida area over the next six years. The Winter Park, Florida-based franchisee is expected to open its first restaurant in the Orlando area next year. “Choosing to partner with an established fast-casual concept like Corner Bakery Cafe was an easy decision for us,” said Eric Holm, Managing Member at Holm Bake LLC, which also owns and operates 30 Golden Corral restaurants.  “We are thrilled about the opportunity to introduce the Orlando community to Corner Bakery Cafe and confident that everything from the freshly-prepared menu to the comfortable and friendly atmosphere will make our cafes a welcome addition in neighborhoods across Central Florida.”  Owned and operated by CBC Restaurant Corp., Corner Bakery Cafe operates about 165 company-owned and franchised locations restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in 17 states and Washington DC.  Holm Bake joins a roster of 29 Corner Bakery Cafe franchise partners.  With commitments for more than 350 locations, Corner Bakery Cafe continues on its goal to more than double its U.S. footprint in the next three years. Earlier this month, the company also announced plans to open 18 new restaurants in the Tennessee and Kentucky areas. Presently the chain is also looking to expand to new markets in Alabama, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina, among others.
