Super Chix is a new quick service restaurant that has just opened in a plaza at W. Park Row Dr. and Cooper St. in Arlington, Texas. Super Chix is an exploratory concept by Yum! Brands’ New Concept team based in Dallas, Texas. The group is led by Scott Bergren, Yum’s Chief Innovation Officer and CEO of Pizza Hut. The restaurant will feature a limited menu of a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, fries, drinks and frozen custard. The chicken is ‘hand-breaded’ several toppings are offered. Virginia Ferguson, spokesperson for Yum! Brands, explains that the concept is being considered for international purposes. She notes that as a global restaurant company, it is not unusual for the team to be testing various concepts adding that another concept that will be tested in the near future is an Asian sub concept that will operate under a Banh Shop banner. Yum! Brands operates over 40,000 KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants in more than 125 countries.
