In late March, Double R Restaurant Group open Another Broken Egg Café in Siesta Key in southwestern Florida and in early April, it opened another café Lakewood Ranch in the Sarasota area of Florida. Part of the restaurant group’s aggressive expansion in Florida it brings to nine the total number of Another Broker Egg Café casual breakfast restaurants in the state. A unit in the Royal Palm Place in Boca Raton is under development.  Another is scheduled to open in the mixed use Tapstry Park project in Jacksonville in May followed later in the Summer at the Grand Boulevard project at Miramar Beach. In addition, units in Naples and Tampa are under discussion. Based in Lafayette, Louisiana, Double R Restaurant Group is Another Broken Egg Café’s largest franchisee with over 20 units in eight states and an expansion rate of six to eight new units per year. Later in the Summer, the franchisee enters the Tennessee market with a restaurant in Memphis and in early 2015, it enters the Kentucky market with Another Broken Egg Café in Owensboro. The full service breakfast restaurants generally operate in units of 3500 to 4000 square feet.  Generally, end cap units in upscale lifestyle projects, resorts and boutique malls are targeted.
