Mustard’s Last Stand is a quick service Chicago-style hot dog restaurant concept that has been operating in Florida for almost 30 years. The family-owned concept opened first in 1987 in a former Dairy Queen location on East New Haven Ave. in Melbourne, a community about 60 miles south east of Orlando on Florida’s East Coast. That location is still in operation today and in 2006, it was joined by a second location, a former service station on North Harbor City Blvd. in the Olde Eau Gallie community in Melbourne. In March, Michael and Sheila Pavlick, who took over the business in 2003 from his aunt and uncle, will open the third Mustard’s Last Stand. This latest unit is in the former Dumpling Nerds restaurant site at on South Atlantic Ave. in Cocoa Beach. Mustard’s Last Stand offers a menu of over 40 hot dogs in addition to its signature offering, the Chicago-style dog, sandwiches, sausages, etc. along beverages and beer.
