Carolina Ale House Eyes Tennessee

In early August, Raleigh, North Carolina-based Carolina Ale House will enter the Tennessee market with its first location. The unit will open in a new development on Kingston Pike near North Cedar Bluff Rd. in Knoxville’s west quadrant. Lou Moshakos, owner of LM Restaurants, the hospitality management group affiliated with the chain, noted that Knoxville has been in the company’s plans for quite awhile, waiting for the right location.  He also confirmed that the chain is looking for locations in Nashville, Chattanooga and Clarksville.  “We’re very interested in expanding the concept throughout the state,” he said. Carolina Ale House is a chain of sports bars/restaurants with over 20 locations in North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Texas. The chain features a full ‘made-from-scratch’ menu that uses fresh, never frozen, ingredients like beef and chicken. The bar consists of about 72 draft beers with about 30 percent being craft beers, and a 99 bottle selection, cocktails and a selection of wines. The concept will also be growing in downtown Raleigh and Chapel Hill in North Carolina and downtown Charleston and Summerville in South Carolina over the next six months.
