Expansion is Starting to Boil

In mid-February, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill opened a 6890 square foot freestanding restaurant at the Route 35 entrance of the Monmouth Mall located at 180 Route 35 in Eatontown in New Jersey. It’s the chain’s second New Jersey location having opened in Moorestown just three months ago.  Firebirds Wood Fired Grill specializes in aged steaks, fresh seafood, chicken and ribs seared over a wood fired grill with this latest unit featuring an exhibition kitchen, an indoor stone fireplace, an outdoor patio and its own Firebar. Firebirds has over 30 restaurants in eleven states in the United States serving lunch and dinner selection of aged steaks that are hand-cut in the restaurant, fresh seafood, chicken and ribs seared over local hickory, oak or pecan wood.  Later this year, the chain is bringing its classic American cuisine to a 7400 square foot location at The Market at Mills Park in Orlando, its first restaurant in Florida which is expected to be the chain’s jumping off point for more expansion in the state. Restaurants are also scheduled to open later this year at the Virginia Gateway in Gainesville, Virginia, at the Shops at Seven Springs in Brentwood and Hamilton Place in Chattanooga, both in Tennessee and at the Polaris Towne Center in Columbus, Ohio.
