La Cima Restaurant Group Expands Territory

Atlanta-based restaurant holding and management company La Cima Restaurants LLC currently operates six Twin Peaks Restaurants in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee and has signed an agreement with franchisor Front Burner Restaurants that will see it expand its franchise territory to include the Tampa, Florida market. La Cima plans to develop Tampa, Clearwater and Saint Petersburg, opening a minimum of six Twin Peaks restaurants in the area.  “Our territory previously included Orlando, so it made sense operationally to take over the neighboring Florida market,” said La Cima founder Coby Brooks. Twin Peaks is a mountain-lodge themed sports restaurant known for its ‘man-cave’ setting and Twin Peak Girls.  The restaurants feature a made-from-scratch comfort food menu, draft beer served at 29 degrees and state-of-the-art TV packages. La Cima opened its first Twin Peaks franchise in Atlanta in 2012 followed by five additional locations in the southeast, spanning five of its six-state territory. In the next eight months, the company is on schedule to open one new restaurant every month, beginning in September with the Twin Peaks in Pensacola, Florida. By the end of next year, the franchisee expects to have 15 units operating.  Twin Peaks targets pad sites of 1.5 to two acres that have 150,000 or more people within a five mile radius.  The restaurant size is in the 6000 to 10,000 square foot range with patios.
