In early March, Broomfield, Colorado-based Noodles & Company entered the Florida market with its first location in Orlando. The 2800 square foot unit is at 12529 State Rd 535 in the Lake Buena Vista area. The unit has seating for about 84 and an outside patio that offers seating for about 20 more. Later in 2014 the chain will open a second restaurant in Orlando, about ten minutes north at 7822 West Sand Lake Rd. Noodles & Company is a quick casual chain that features a menu that includes cooked-to-order fresh noodles, pastas, soups, salads and sandwiches. Currently there are over 340 Noodles & Company restaurants in the United States and the chain is actively expanding across the country. Several locations are scheduled including its first locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and additional locations in Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia. More openings outside of the East Coast region are also scheduled. Noodles & Company requires 2500 to 3000 square foot units with patio availability. End cap and freestanding locations are targeted in power centers, lifestyle centers and grocery-anchored neighborhood centers.
