Front Burner Brands is actively seeking franchisees to open a new Melting Pot restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina. Presently, the chain has six locations in North Carolina, including an existing restaurant in northern Greensboro. That existing Greensboro restaurant, which opened in 1998, will eventually close as it will be replaced with a new, larger location in the market as part of the company’s expansion plans. “Our Greensboro location has performed well over the years, but we’ve outgrown the existing space and trade areas within the market have shifted since the 1990s,” said Dan Stone, Vice President, Franchise Development for Front Burner Brands. “We plan to open up a larger restaurant in its place in a prime retail hub within the Greensboro market to better serve our guests.” The chain is also targeting Asheville, also in North Carolina, for franchise expansion and is actively seeking qualified franchisees. Early in July, the chain also reported that it was targeting Charleston, South Carolina for expansion that would add to the existing Greenville, Columbia and Myrtle Beach locations in the state. The premier fondue restaurant operates more than 135 units in the U.S., Canada and Mexico and has more than 25 locations in development internationally. The restaurants provide a choice of fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrees combined with dipping sauces.
