Staffs Up for Growth….

In early October, Romacorp Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma's restaurants, reported that Jim Rogers has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer and Roger Stracener as joined as Vice President, International Franchise Operations. Romacorp President Ken Myres notes that with their global experience, the addition of these senior executives is a key step in the company plan to expand its domestic and international reach. "Jim and Roger will play key roles in revitalizing our core Tony Roma's brand around the world, and in helping build our new Fire Grill concept as a second brand within our portfolio," he said. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Romacorp has over 150 restaurants in more than 30 countries. The first Tony Roma's restaurant opened more than 40 years ago in North Miami, Florida.  The full service casual dining Tony Roma’s larger prototype is about 5600 square feet and the small prototype in a 4900 square foot range.  And while the company does do single unit franchises, the present focus is in the multi-unit development of three to five restaurants. The company also operates its new Tony Roma’s Fire Grill & Lounge concept, a chef-inspired American bistro currently in test in Orlando, Florida with an additional location planned for early 2015 in Winter Park, Florida.
