In early June, seafood chain Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant celebrated its 45th anniversary at its franchise convention held in Atlanta with the introduction of the chain’s new restaurant re-image that resembles a fresh, contemporary seaside destination. The ‘Beach Design’ also includes new menu boards, new dinnerware and a newly reformulated equipment line. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Captain D’s owns, operates and franchises over 500 restaurants in 25 states, plus military bases around the world. The restaurants serve a widely varied seafood menu that includes freshly prepared entrees and the company’s signature hand-battered fish which is prepared to order to ensure freshness. The restaurants also offer premium quality grilled fish as well as shrimp, chicken, shrimp and beef kabobs, hushpuppies, desserts and freshly brewed southern-style sweet tea. Captain D’s is expanding its national footprint and entering into new markets. The current target areas include the Southeast region with focus markets in the East Coast region in Northeast Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
