Huddle House has recently signed franchise agreements that will add five new restaurants in Virginia, Florida and Texas. The restaurants will be in Suffolk in Virginia, Ocala in Central Florida and in Bonham, Paris and Sulphur Springs in Texas. The Suffolk and Ocala restaurants are expected to open before the end of the year along with at least one, and possibly two, of the new Texas locations. Huddle House now has more than 400 restaurants open or under development across the country and is in the midst of an aggressive expansion campaign designed to add more than 100 new restaurants over the next three years.
Primarily concentrating on franchise growth, the chain targets both single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes, including urban areas, small towns, travel centers and convenience sites. The company is also offering incentives to new franchisees that take over and remodel existing locations. Typically open 24-hours, Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day offering a mix of Southern inspired comfort food. A flexible concept, Huddle House can be adapted for most markets. The restaurants will operate in small towns, freestanding locations and restaurants located in travel centers off high traffic highways. Targeting end caps in strip malls and shopping centers, the chain will often locate adjacent to convenience stores as well as at casinos, hotels and travel centers that need 24-hour locations. The units are a minimum of 2400 square feet.
