Described as a New York-style steakhouse, Madison’s New York Grill & Bar is a chain of full service upscale urban-style restaurants that feature a menu of filet mignon, rib steak, fresh seafood, salads and pasta, along with an extensive wine list. The nine year old chain currently operates 14 units in the greater Montreal/Laval region in Quebec. Madison’s will make its way to South Florida with its first U.S. location, a conversion that is expected to open in December. Construction is currently underway on the 7000 square foot unit at 2006 NW Executive Center Circle in Boca Raton. The unit will offer combined seating of about 275 in the bar and dining area and a patio with seating for about 60 guests. Company spokesman Steven Vassalos adds that a second South Florida location has also been confirmed. The next location is expected to open in late 2014 on Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach. “Pompano will be a new building which we will develop along with a shopping strip,” he says. “The restaurant will have a spectacular patio facing the inter-coastal and will be a freestanding building of approximately 8000 square feet.” He further explains that while the company’s prime focus is on launching these two U.S. locations, he feels that the chain will certainly explore other opportunities in South Florida in the future.
